Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using BotDen, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Description of service
BotDen is a platform for creating, hosting, and deploying Discord bots. The service includes a browser-based workspace, hosting infrastructure, and subscription-based plans.
Accounts
- You must sign in with a valid account from one of BotDen's supported authentication providers.
- Discord authentication is required when a feature needs to validate your Discord identity or server permissions.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must not share your account or Discord bot tokens with unauthorized parties.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or threaten platform safety.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use BotDen to do any of the following:
- Violate applicable law or Discord's terms.
- Host bots that spam, harass users, distribute malware, or abuse external services.
- Attempt to access other users' bots, data, or accounts without authorization.
- Exploit platform CPU, memory, network, or billing systems beyond your plan limits.
- Use bots for cryptocurrency mining, DDoS attacks, or similar abusive behavior.
- Circumvent plan limits, billing enforcement, or platform security controls.
- Upload malicious code intended to compromise BotDen or its users.
Bot content and code
- You retain ownership of the code you write and upload to BotDen.
- You grant BotDen a limited license to host, execute, and display your bot code as required to operate the service.
- You are solely responsible for the behavior of your bots and the code they execute.
- BotDen may remove bots or code that violates these terms without prior notice.
Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed through Stripe.
- You may cancel your subscription through the Stripe billing portal.
- Upon cancellation or downgrade, bots exceeding the new plan's limits may be stopped automatically.
- Partial billing periods are generally non-refundable unless required by law.
Refund policy
Subscriptions are not refunded for partial billing periods unless required by law.
Refund requests can be sent to botden@botden.app and are reviewed within 7 business days.
Service and optional communications
- BotDen may provide operational notices needed to secure or administer your account, confirm actions you request, communicate material service changes, or manage billing.
- BotDen may use a bot token you configured, or the official BotDen bot when available, to send a narrowly scoped Discord notice needed to restore or maintain that bot. Delivery attempts may be recorded to prevent duplicates.
- Product news, offers, and bot-building tips require your product-update opt-in. Bot notifications combine health alerts and reminders, are enabled by default, and can be disabled at any time.
- You may change optional communication choices at any time from Account preferences.
Resource limits and fair use
Each plan has defined limits for bots, commands, and events. BotDen may throttle or suspend workloads that threaten platform stability.
Limitation of liability
BotDen is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for bot downtime, data loss, Discord API changes, or damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to BotDen at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your bots may be stopped and your data handled according to the Privacy Policy.
Related policy: Privacy Policy.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes may be announced through the platform.
